About Ahead 2026
Ahead, the Hamburg maker of reduced-sugar sweets, fills its 2026 calendar with milk chocolate pralines: one behind each of the 24 doors, in a lilac box printed with a snowman, fir trees and the brand's name in big purple letters. Every praline has a peanut filling and a caramel-flavoured filling.
There is no added sugar; the chocolate is sweetened with maltitol and stevia, and Ahead puts the saving at 53 % less sugar than ordinary milk chocolate pralines. The pralines contain peanuts, hazelnuts and milk, and are vegetarian.

Our verdict
A cheap chocolate calendar for anyone cutting sugar, and the peanut and caramel filling is more than most sugar-free boxes manage. It is the same praline 24 times, though, so the doors hold no surprise.
