Tonies' advent calendar for 2026 is not a box but a figure: a gingerbread man called Niklas, hand-painted, magnetic, who stands on the Toniebox and unlocks one chapter of a radio play a day from 1 December. Ein knuspriges Weihnachtsfest — A Crispy Christmas — is written by Uticha Marmon: Frau Lucia has vanished from the secret Christmas bakery, the elves accidentally bring Niklas to life, and he sets out with Rosie the robin and a nutcracker to find her.
Twenty-five chapters, 2 hours 23 minutes in all, for children from five. Nothing is unwrapped; the calendar is the daily unlock, and it needs a Toniebox, a Toniecloud account and Wi-Fi to work.
Once December is over the whole story stays on the figure. The second 2026 calendar Tonie, Milas Weihnachtsreise, is for children from three.
16.99 EUR from Tonies' own German shop. Tonies opened orders on 9 September to families who already own a Toniebox, one per customer, and says a second large delivery follows in October; from 10 September the figure is also at its retail partners.

For a house with a Toniebox this is the best-value calendar of the year: a two-and-a-half-hour original story for the price of a chocolate box, and it plays again next December. For a house without one it is a seventeen-euro figurine.
