Ankerkraut, the Hamburg spice maker, sells a range of advent calendars rather than one (9 editions across the seasons on this page) and for 2026 there are three: the Gewürz calendar at 29.99 EUR, twenty-four seasoning blends printed door by door; the Premium at 69.90, a 75 cm cardboard lighthouse in the brand's stripes with twelve cork-stoppered jars and twelve refill sachets; and the Deluxe at 169.90, a jar behind every door and a black metal spice rack to empty them onto. The Gewürz box names every blend in advance; the two bigger ones keep theirs secret until December, which is the one thing to decide before choosing. Rossmann prints all 24 blends, which Ankerkraut's own boxes don't, and 30 EUR is easy to justify. Twenty-two of the doors are sachets, so treat it as a tasting flight rather than a spice rack.

A full jar behind every door and a wall rack to hang them on makes this the most complete spice calendar I've seen. At 170 EUR for blends Ankerkraut won't name in advance, the Premium lighthouse gets you most of the fun for less than half.
