About Angela Halvorsen Bogo Winter Fairytales Advent Calendar 2026
Winter Fairytales is a digital advent calendar of stories: from 1 to 25 December 2026 a filmed fairytale or folktale arrives by email each morning, told on camera by Angela Halvorsen Bogo, an English storyteller based in Norway and trained in the Scottish storytelling tradition, who has collected and performed traditional tales for 35 years. Most stories run about 10 to 15 minutes, with a few longer ones.
They come from oral traditions in Scotland, England, Germany, Denmark, India, Thailand, Tibet, Nigeria and the Bedouin people, and they are not religious stories. The collection is for adults and families with children of about 8 and up who understand English, and every story stays available until 1 March 2027.
It is the same collection of 25 recorded stories as in earlier years. 49 EUR at Ticket Tailor until 22 November 2026, then 79 EUR from 23 November, with sets of two and three for gifts; checked on 26 October 2026.
It can be sent as a gift to anyone, anywhere, by email.

How each one is countedEvery figure is computed from the record at build time and set against the median of the same season and the same kind of contents. Door price is the price on the box over its doors; the value multiple is what the contents come to at retail over that price; full size is the retailer’s own marking. Where the record cannot support a figure, the page leaves it out rather than guessing. The definitions, one by one →Each figure against the median of this season's books shelf — 13 calendars. Green is the better side of the median, red the worse; the median is printed so you can disagree.

Our Angela Halvorsen Bogo Winter Fairytales Advent Calendar 2026 review
Our verdict
A story a day, told by somebody who has been telling them for 35 years, makes a calm December for a family with children old enough to sit through fifteen minutes. If you bought it in an earlier year, you have already heard these.
