About Gelato Messina Chocolate Advent Calendar 2026
Gelato Messina, the Sydney gelato shop, has made a chocolate advent calendar for years, and the 2026 box is back: a red calendar of 24 doors, each with a chocolate made in house by Messina's chocolatiers. The photographs show pralines, a gingerbread man, glossy domes, clusters and painted bonbons, several of them cut open on a gelato-style filling.
There is no gelato inside, and Messina does not publish the 24 flavours on its page. 120 AUD at gelatomessina.com.
When checked on 26 October 2026 the waitlist was open, with early access from 27 October and general sale from 28 October 2026 while calendars last. It is collect-only, from Messina stores between 27 and 29 November.

Our verdict
These are a gelato shop's own chocolates, 24 of them, and the cut-open ones in the photos show proper fillings rather than solid shells. It is a box for someone who already queues at Messina.
