About Boxiland Wein 2026
Boxiland's 2026 wine calendar is a black box with a Christmas tree built from corks and two glasses on the front, holding 24 different wines in 0.25 litre bottles, six litres in all. There are whites, reds and rosés, dry through to sweet, from Germany, France, Italy and Spain with a few from Chile, Australia and California.
Boxiland names the grapes rather than the bottles: Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Tempranillo, Dornfelder, Grenache, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, at 9.5 to 14 percent. The calendars are packed by hand in German inclusion workshops, and sold to adults only, at 119.90 EUR on Boxiland's own shop.

Twenty-four different wines, one 0.25 l bottle behind each door: white, red and rosé, dry, off-dry, feinherb and sweet, from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Chile, Australia and California. Grapes named include Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Tempranillo, Dornfelder, Grenache, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. 9.5 to 14 percent ABV; all contain sulphites.

Our verdict
A quarter-litre bottle a day is a real tasting, and the spread of grapes from Riesling to Tempranillo covers the classics. With no producer named for any of the 24, it is hard to say whether these are wines you would seek out again.
