25 doorsEditors’ pickHow to choose a 25-day advent calendar
- Step 01
Decide what you will spend first
Set the number before you browse, because it decides the shelf more than anything else here. Of the 47 priced in dollars, 4 come in under $50, 15 sit between $50 and $200 and 28 cost more than that — the range runs $17 to $1,400, and half are above $250. Compare the price bands
- Step 02
Match the doors to the days
Every calendar here has 25 doors: a 25-door box opens one a day from 1 December to Christmas morning. There is no shorter option in this category, so if it will arrive late, plan on opening the missed doors in order and carrying on. Every start date
- Step 03
Know which season you are buying
105 of the 142 here are 2026 editions, and 37 are last season's — still sold, often discounted, and with the contents already on the page. A brand's page keeps every edition together, so check whether the box you are looking at is this year's before you compare prices.
- Step 04
Check what is inside against the price
Every calendar page that we have costed shows what the contents come to against the sticker price. We have done that for 72 of the 142 here: the median box holds 3.7× its own price in product, the spread runs 1.4× to 6.9×, and every one of them comes to more than it costs. Below 1.0× you are paying for the box; none here does that.
- Step 05
Start from the ones we have opened
21 of the 142 here carry an editors' pick — the chip above the grid narrows the shelf to those — and 119 have a written score. Those are the boxes somebody on this site has actually judged. The rest are listed because they exist, not because we are recommending them; being on this page is not a verdict. How we review

If you cannot decide, get Revolve 2026
The best value among the calendars here that we have rated this season: contents worth 6.4× the price, rated 4/5, $150, 25 doors. Twenty-five named products with sizes, thirteen of them full, for 150 USD against a 953 USD worth: the strongest value line among the US retailer boxes this year. The full-size count is padded by accessories, and the box is a pre-order that lands in mid-October.
25 doorsFrequently asked questions
When do you start a 25-day advent calendar?
On 1 December, the same day as a 24-door one. The extra door is for Christmas Day, so the last one opens on the 25th. Every length is dated on our start-date page.
What is the difference between a 24-day and a 25-day advent calendar?
One door, for Christmas morning. Beauty boxes use it most: 55% of this season's 25-door calendars are beauty, against 28% of the 24-door ones.
Are 25-day advent calendars better value?
Per door, usually not. Across the 2026 boxes we list with a price, the median door in a 25-day calendar costs about $7.18, against $2.22 in a 24-door one. The value figure on each calendar's page says what its own contents come to.
What is the best 25-day advent calendar for 2026?
By our rating: Selfridges Beauty 2026 (5/5), CAIA Advent Calendar 2026 (4.5/5) and Dandelion Chocolate 2026 Advent Calendar (4.5/5). Each page lists what is behind the doors and the price at every shop we track.
